A Few of My Thrifty Finds

Well, this past Saturday was about the funnest time I've had in awhile. I got up early and was hitting sales by 7:30. Here's a few pictures since I should be listing items in my stores and not blogging! :)

First sale yielded these Sophie Kinsella books (also by her pseudonym, Madeleine Wickham) and a DVD. If you haven't read these books..especially the Shopoholic series...you really should. They are H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S. I also scored a bookcase for my son's room for $6.

Next sale was amazing. This cute little cabinet is FULL of vintage sewing items. I know, I know. I got the entire cabinet for $10. It is so true to let the other person name the price. She asked me, I was hesitating..I would have said $20...she said $12 before I could say anything! Then I offered $10 and she took it!

So I went on to get some more things...a brown drip pitcher, a vintage recipe box with recipes, some costume jewelry and 2 little brass ducks.

Then I hit the community sale in the high school parking lot. Here's my goodies from that...vintage train case, Danish Modern flatware, tins, jewelry (sterling) and more.

Thanks for looking!! Hop on over to Apron Thrift Girl's Thrift Share Monday for more thrifty finds!

  1. Ooohhh! A cabinet full of vintage sewing items? I am jealous, jealous, jealous! You had a great weekend! So true to let the seller name the price - usually they go lower than I would. Here's to thrifting!

  3. NICE!! I love that little dresser for your son. I bought one at a nude furniture place like it and paid a LOT more than that. Good score!
